Interactive example. Answers stay on this page and are not submitted. Reset or changing the configuration clears answers and restores Required.

All settings

Select + in the editor, choose Phone Input, then select the question and open Content.

All questions also have Title and Description. Replace the starter title with your question; Description is optional and starts blank. Use it for instructions that should remain visible while answering. The defaults below are for a newly added question, not necessarily the example above. The example starts with Required on so you can try validation; real new questions default to optional.

Example: request a contact number

Explain why a number is needed in Description. The respondent control includes a country selector and starts with the Netherlands selected. That starting country is not configurable in the current question settings; respondents can change it themselves.

Format and required answers

The answer check accepts digits and common phone punctuation, including an optional leading plus, spaces, parentheses and hyphens. It does not verify that a number exists or belongs to the respondent. There is no question-level verification-code or custom phone-mask setting.

Test the country selector as well as typing a number. Try an empty answer with Required on and off, and check the number shown after changing countries. If you repeat the answer with piping, inspect the displayed international format rather than assuming it will look exactly like the typed text.

Branching and piping

Open Advanced → Conditional Logic to route from an answer. In fields that offer { }, use piping to insert an earlier answer. Plan requirements apply to advanced logic, expressions and option attributes; these are separate from the Content settings above.
