- 7. Copy the respondent linkCopy the published survey link, or use its QR code to invite respondents.
Create the survey
From your dashboard, select New survey (or Create your first survey on an empty dashboard). Enter a title and an optional description, then select Create Survey. The editor opens with a Start node, an End node, and an Add your first question prompt.
Name it
Select the title at the top of the editor and type over it. The name is saved as you type, and it is what respondents see in their browser tab.
Add a question
Select + in the header to open the question library, then select a question type to add it, or drag it to a specific position.
Write the question
Selecting a node opens the configuration panel on the right. The Content tab holds the question text and its settings; Advanced holds logic and option attributes.
Preview it
Select Preview to open the survey exactly as a respondent sees it. Nothing you enter in preview is recorded.
Publish
Select Share → Publish. Lensym checks the survey first and lists anything that needs fixing. Select Publish, then confirm Publish Survey?. You get a share link and a QR code; select Copy to copy the link.
Publishing locks the survey
A published survey is read-only. You can pause it and resume it on the same link, but to change the questions you have to archive it and restore it to a draft — and re-publishing then creates a new link. Get the survey right in preview before you publish.
What next
- The editor at a glance — what every panel does
- Conditional logic — send people down different paths
- Piping — repeat an earlier answer in a later question
