Editor modes

The list editor

Edit your survey as a linear document, with every question rendered as respondents see it.

  1. Select one question to edit it.
  2. Its settings appear in Content on the right.
Local documentation example.

The list editor shows your survey top to bottom. Each question renders as respondents will actually see it, so you are editing the real thing rather than a summary.

Reordering

Drag a question by its body to move it. A line shows where it will land. Dragging near the top or bottom of the window scrolls the list.

The required toggle

Hover a question to reveal an asterisk button. Select it to make the question required, or optional again — quicker than opening the configuration panel.

Selecting and editing

Click the card's title or outer area to select it. The right panel shows that node's Content and Advanced settings. Clicking a respondent control, such as a rating or option, can interact with that control instead of changing the selected node.

Switch views

Use the mode switch in the header to move to graph mode when you need to inspect branching. Both views edit the same survey; switching does not create a copy.

Keep long surveys organised with sections, and use Preview for a clean respondent walkthrough.
