Taking a survey
What respondents see when opening and completing a survey.
Respondents open the published share link or scan its QR code. They do not need access to the survey editor to answer.
Read the welcome screen
Review the introduction and any notices. Complete required acknowledgements before choosing Start survey.Answer the questions
Use Next to continue. Required or invalid answers show an error that must be resolved before continuing. Back is available on later steps.Follow the survey's route
Questions may be skipped or a survey may end early because of the answers given. That is controlled by the survey creator's logic.Reach the thank-you screen
This marks the end of the survey. In Preview, the screen explicitly says that no response was recorded.Progress can be resumed on the same browser. A different device or cleared cookies may start a new response. For changes to a completed response, contact the survey creator about a retake link.
If a link no longer accepts responses, the creator may have paused or archived the survey, or reached a collection limit. Contact the person who sent the invitation.
