Undo works everywhere
⌘Z undoes your last change whether or not you are typing in a text field. This is deliberate: it overrides the browser's own per-field undo so that one shortcut means the same thing everywhere in the editor.
Text edits are grouped rather than undone character by character, so one undo takes back a phrase, not a keystroke.
Undo is disabled during live collaboration
Undo and redo are disabled while connected to live collaboration, even if no other collaborator is currently online. This prevents undo from overwriting shared changes.
Copy and paste carry structure
⌘C and ⌘V use your system clipboard, so you can copy nodes between surveys and browser tabs.
Copying a section takes its questions with it. Conditional edges come along only when both ends are inside the copied selection — a branch pointing at something you did not copy is dropped, since it would have nowhere to land.
Selecting more than one node
| Action | How |
|---|---|
| Select | Click |
| Extend the selection | ⇧ click |
| Add or remove one node | ⌘ click |
| Select the focused node | Enter or Space |
| Clear the selection | Esc or click empty space |
Range selection stays inside one level
⇧ click will not select across a section boundary. Select inside the section, or select the section itself.
